## Assign vs. Quick Play

Workybooks offers two ways to share activities with students:

| Feature            | Assign                                         | Quick Play                            |
| ------------------ | ---------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **Best for** | Graded homework, assessments, tracked practice | Instant practice, no-setup activities |
| **Requires** | Classroom with enrolled students | Nothing - just share a link |
| **Student access** | Students log in to their accounts | Students enter a nickname |
| **Tracking** | Full grade book with individual scores | Anonymous responses |
| **Due dates** | Yes, with start and end dates | No deadlines |
| **Point values**   | Configurable (0-100 points)                    | Not graded                            |

**Use Assign when you want:**

* To track individual student progress
* To give graded homework or assessments
* To set deadlines and point values
* To see detailed completion data

**Use [Quick Play](/assignments/quick-play) when you want:**

* Instant, no-setup practice
* To share with students who don't have accounts
* Classroom practice without tracking
* Substitute teacher activities
