Getting Started

You can sign in at students.workybooks.com using:
  • Username and password - Enter the username and password you created when you joined your class
  • Google Sign-In - Click “Sign in with Google” if your school uses Google accounts
If you don’t have an account yet, ask your teacher for a class code to join.
A class code is a special code your teacher gives you to join their classroom. To use it:
  1. Go to students.workybooks.com
  2. Click Join
  3. Enter the class code
  4. Create your username and password
  5. You’re in!
Class codes are usually 6 or more letters and numbers, like “ABC123” or “SMITH2024”.
Students can’t reset their own passwords. You’ll need to:
  1. Ask your teacher to reset your password
  2. Your teacher will give you a new temporary password
  3. Use the new password to sign in
In the future, write down your password somewhere safe!
Your username is what you chose when you created your account. If you forgot it:
  • Ask your teacher - they can look it up
  • Try using your first name or a nickname you might have used
  • If you signed up with Google, just use “Sign in with Google” instead
Yes! Workybooks works on:
  • Computers (Windows, Mac, Chromebook)
  • Tablets (iPad, Android tablets)
  • Phones (iPhone, Android)
Just open your web browser and go to students.workybooks.com.
Quick Play is a way to do activities without signing in. Your teacher shares a link or QR code, you enter your name, and start immediately. It’s great for quick practice activities.Learn more in the Quick Play for Students guide.

Assignments

After you sign in, you’ll see your My Class dashboard. Look for:
  • To Do - Assignments you need to complete
  • Done - Assignments you already submitted
Click on any assignment to start working on it.
Look at the assignment card in your To Do section. If your teacher set a due date, it will show under the assignment title. You might also see:
  • A notification when new assignments are posted
  • A reminder when due dates are approaching
It depends on the assignment:
  • If the assignment has multiple activities, you can usually do them in any order
  • Some teachers may want you to do things in a specific order - check with them if you’re unsure
For assignments with multiple parts, you can skip around and come back to difficult ones later.
Yes! Workybooks saves your work automatically as you go. You can:
  • Close your browser and come back later
  • Switch between activities
  • Take breaks
Your work will be waiting for you when you return. Just make sure you have internet connection so it can save!
When you’ve finished all activities:
  1. Click the Submit or Turn In button
  2. Confirm by clicking Yes
  3. Your assignment is sent to your teacher!
After submitting, you can see your score and review your answers.
No, once you submit an assignment, you can’t change your answers. That’s why it’s important to:
  • Double-check your work before submitting
  • Make sure you’ve answered all questions
  • Review your answers one more time
If you really need to redo an assignment, ask your teacher if they can reset it for you.
Talk to your teacher right away. They may be able to:
  • Let you redo the assignment
  • Give you an extension
  • Reset your submission
Explain what happened honestly - teachers are usually understanding about honest mistakes!

Scores and Grades

After you submit an assignment:
  1. Your score appears on the results screen
  2. You can also find it in your Done section
  3. Click on any completed assignment to see detailed results
Your score shows how many questions you got right out of the total.
Scores typically show:
  • Correct - Questions you got right
  • Wrong - Questions you answered incorrectly
  • Percentage - Your overall score (like 80%)
Some activities also show stars or points based on how well you did.
Yes! After submitting:
  1. Go to your Done section
  2. Click on the assignment
  3. You can review each question
  4. Wrong answers are marked, and you can see the correct answers
This is a great way to learn from your mistakes!
Yes, your teacher can see:
  • Your scores on all assignments
  • Which questions you got right or wrong
  • How long you spent on activities
  • When you submitted
This helps them understand how you’re doing and where you might need extra help.
Sometimes the computer might not recognize a correct answer (especially for typed responses). If you think your answer was right:
  1. Take a screenshot or remember the question
  2. Tell your teacher about it
  3. They can review and adjust your grade if needed

Technical Issues

Try these steps:
  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Refresh the page (press F5 or click the refresh button)
  3. Close the browser and open it again
  4. Try a different browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
  5. Ask a parent or teacher for help
If it still doesn’t work, the website might be having temporary problems. Try again later.
Work might not save if:
  • Your internet connection was lost
  • You closed the browser too quickly
  • There was a technical problem
To prevent losing work:
  • Make sure you have good internet
  • Wait for the “Saved” indicator before closing
  • Don’t leave assignments unfinished for too long
Check these things:
  1. Are you in the right classroom? (If you have multiple, check the classroom switcher)
  2. Is the assignment in To Do or Done?
  3. Has the assignment started yet? (Some have start dates)
  4. Are you signed in with the correct account?
If you still can’t find it, ask your teacher.
If an activity gets stuck:
  1. Wait 10-15 seconds - it might be loading
  2. Try clicking somewhere else on the page
  3. Refresh the page
  4. Close and reopen your browser
  5. Try on a different device if possible
Don’t worry - your recent work should be saved!
If images don’t load:
  1. Wait a moment - they might still be loading
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Check your internet speed
  4. Try a different browser
If images are important for the assignment and won’t load, tell your teacher.
Workybooks works best with:
  • Google Chrome (recommended)
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version for the best experience.

Account and Settings

Currently, students can’t change their own passwords. If you need a new password:
  1. Ask your teacher
  2. They’ll set a new password for you
  3. You can start using the new password right away
Yes! If you have multiple teachers using Workybooks, you can be in multiple classrooms. To switch between them:
  1. Look for your classroom name at the top of the screen
  2. Click on it
  3. Select the classroom you want to view
Each classroom has its own assignments.
To sign out:
  1. Look for your profile picture or name in the top corner
  2. Click on it
  3. Click Sign Out or Log Out
Always sign out when using a shared computer!
If someone is using your account without permission:
  1. Tell your teacher right away
  2. They can change your password
  3. Sign out of any devices you’re not using
  4. Don’t share your password with anyone

Getting Help

If you’re stuck:
  1. Read the question again carefully
  2. Look for clues in the question or passage
  3. Try your best guess - it’s better than leaving it blank
  4. Ask your teacher or a parent for help
Remember, it’s okay to not know everything! That’s what learning is for.
Absolutely! You can:
  • Read the instructions again slowly
  • Ask your teacher to explain
  • Ask a parent or guardian
  • Try clicking on help icons (?) if you see them
Don’t be afraid to ask for help - that’s how you learn!
Workybooks doesn’t have a messaging feature. To contact your teacher:
  • Raise your hand in class
  • Send an email through your school email
  • Use Google Classroom comments (if your class uses it)
  • Ask in person before or after class
